3) Why did you choose to write early 20th century suspense instead of contemporary or 19th century?

It seems to be a bridge between historical and contemporary. That seems to be my voice - not quite historical and not quite modern. I love that my characters can smoke and drink - because I can’t:-) And my characters can get away with more adventuresome behavior than in earlier time periods. Besides, I can’t keep up with the modern techno gadgets a contemporary thriller needs.

4) Why do you write with a British point of view?

It just came out that way!

5) Is your family supportive of your writing?

My husband is very supportive! It helps tremendously. The cats help too. They snore on my desk return while I write:-)

6) How long did it take to write BLOOD MOON OVER BRITAIN?

About 10 months.

7) What kind of research do you do for your books?

The internet, pertinent books and movies, and interviews with eye witnesses.

8) Do you read during the writing of a book?

Yes! I must. It relaxes me. If I’m tense writer’s block sets in.

9) What do you enjoy doing when not writing?

Hiking into the Hawaiian wilderness, roaming the Honolulu Sunday Market, vegging by the pool or one of the many sandy beaches, reading, going to the movies.

10) What future books are you planning?

Right now I’m working on BLOOD MOON OVER BERLIN, a romantic thriller set inside the Third Reich. After that: Two ‘60s books, a WWI book, two roaring ‘20's books and two post WWII books. So far:-)
